Story

A cuddle cot is a cooling system that has been designed to fit within a cot, this effective system allows for babies who have passed away to remain with their families so that they are not required to be cooled in a mortuary environment. Cuddle cots enable baby's family to get to spend time with baby and make memories and say goodbye.

I know no one wants to think about this kind of thing but the reality is it's not something you plan for. We were 34 weeks (8 and a half months) when we lost our girl, there was no indication that this was going to happen or thing we could of done to change the outcome. Amelia was a perfectly healthy baby throughout the whole pregnancy. As hard as it was to say goodbye I can not imagine not having that cot available. If it wasn't the options would be to walk back and forth from the morgue or if available, have to ask the midwifes to bring the baby in and out of their special freezer system. Neither is a good option given the circumstances. You don't want to have to ask or wait for someone to be available for you to be able to spend time with your baby, plus walking around a birthing suite with pregnant people and newborns about is the last thing you want to be doing, and sometimes after giving birth isn't even an option.

The smallest donation goes a long way. It's something so simple yet expensive but will help and make a huge difference to other families who have to go through the loss of their baby.

Thanks in advance. ??
