In Loving Memory Of Gabriel Timothy Reynolds

Story

This year my family was aiming to raise money to fund a Cuddle Cot “In Loving Memory Of Gabriel Timothy Reynolds”. Kirsti and Tim (loving parents to Gabriel and my sister in law/brother in law) expressed what a difference something like this would have made during their stay in hospital with Gabriel and how they would both like to help make a difference to another family.

Our target was to raise $6000 by Christmas to fund one Cuddle Cot. I am thrilled to say we smashed our target in less than 6 months and proudly donated a Cuddle Cot to Liverpool Hospital in August. Thanks to the generosity of family, friends and colleagues, we reached our target in less than half the time and made Kirsti and Tim’s wish come true by making this donation to help support other families who experience the heartbreaking loss of their baby.

We will keep this fundraiser open and continue to raise funds as originally planned right through to Christmas; possibly another $6000 for another Cuddle Cot or any additional funds to go toward other much needed resources to continue to allow Bears Of Hope to support other families.

Thank you to everyone who has already shown their support and to anyone who is about to show their support.

In hope, with love,

Angela Reynolds x

What is a Cuddle Cot?

A Cuddle Cot is a cooling system that has been designed to fit within a small cot. This effective system allows for babies who have passed away to remain with their families so that they are not required to be cooled in a mortuary environment. Cuddle Cots enable family members to travel to visit and meet the baby, siblings to meet one another and even gives parents the option of taking their baby home to lay in their own cot, in their own room or travel in their own car seat.

It’s about giving parents choices and reassuring them that they can spend as much time as they like with their baby, without the fear of the baby needing to be cooled in a traditional mortuary.
